to visual art and culture in the Bay Area, while connecting with creative
communities globally. The publication will offer: (1) A window into the

discourse by and between artists, writers, curators, dealers, and thinkers
outside the art world. (3) Resources for artists and audiences.

The Face-Off is an opportunity to bring a local artist, curator, writer, theorist, gallerist, collector or arts administrator into contact with peers to discuss, face-to-face, issues that are pertinent to current cultural issues.
Each issue features one or more artists’ projects that have been selected specifically for the site and the theme.
Stretcher is pleased to inaugurate its Stretcher Artists’ Multiples. Artists who have collaborated on the site create an item such as a mousepad or a lunchbox for the Stretcher store.
