One of a series paying homage and poking fun of various mid-century and later modernist art movements. The "zip" paintings of Barnett Newman are honored and punctured using this deep red resonant fabric and an actual zipper.

Mark Rothko was similarly honored using the idea of his transcendant doorways using fake fur, brilliant turquoise fabric and felt. A series of drawings utilizing post-its also explored Rothko's sublime doorway.
